Have just bought a Humax HDR-2000T 1TB WD for my learning disabled son. I got it working fine on an LG TV but could not get the sound to work on my son's Panasonic (I think it is a TX-32LMD70 - can check that out when I next see him) - the picture is fine.

Have used the same HDMI lead on both TVs and tried it going into 2 different slots on the tv.
Humax tell me that the problem may be solved by turning off Viera Link on the TV. Can that be done and might it work?
Panasonic told me it will not work as Viera Link is not in use when connecting to a Humax.

Has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it?

Yes you can turn off viera-link (On my Panasonic it's Menu - Setup - Viera Link Settings). If it doesn't work, next thing to try is turn up the volume on the Humax remote control. Lastly in the Humax TV settings Menu - Settings - Preferences - Audio - Digital Audio Output - Stereo

Visited my son yesterday. I found a Viera setting that could not be changed but did manage to turn it off using another setting deeper in the menus. However the sound still did not come through even after turning both the TV and the Humax off and on.

I took up some spare leads with me and connected the red and white audio leads. The sound then came through - so will leave things like that.

    Thank you for your help.

In the HDR-FOX-T2 TV settings change digital audio out to Stereo. Then turn up the box volume using the HDR-FOX-T2 remote control.
