I have a humax freeview receiver model F2 Fox-1 which has been in storage for a while and the remote appears to not be programmed anymore  this receiver came with a universal remote and I was wondering if that it has lost its code due to being in storage with no batteries in it.
the stb powers up ok using front panel buttons and it loads, but i can go no further as it has no "OK"button on the front panel to start tuning.
    can a code be obtained

    any help is much appreciated.

    Gary,

    Try www.turbosat.com

They're the (sole?) UK importers of Humax. They should be able to help you.

    Hi Arthur
    thanks for that
I had a look, but thay want the best part of £40 for a remote inc vat and delivery, which seems a bit silly when you can get a set top box these days from tesco for little more than £30(although maybe not as good as the humax)
It appears that all I need is the code.
maybe I will keep an eye out for a second hand one(I'll be lucky!)

    Gary,

Sorry about that - £40 is a bit OTT for a remote these days! Especially when you can get the (excellent) Technomate TM1000CI for £100 (or less!) http://www.technomate.com/products2.php

I see quite a few Humax systems out there, if I can get you one, I will.
