Humax 9200TS Sound Problem

My Humax 9200TS seems to have developed a sound problem. I am unable to get any sound from it at all. If I turn up the volume to max and also turn up the vol on my TV to max then there is the slightest whisper but that is all. I have tried watching to some of the recorded programmes with the same result. I have not changed any settings so I can only assume that there has been a hardward failure of some sort. It is 15 months old

Anyone got any ideas?

Start with the obvious and check security of the scart plugs in the back of the PVR and TV - a partially loose plug can maintain video and lose sound.
