Ok mods, move this thread if you need to but it is different as it relates specifically to the Humax PVR-9200T suppliers and who's got stock, who delivers when promised and delivery experiences.

I felt the need to give a big-up (even though I hate that term) to Hughes Electrical. Hughes Electrical

After ordering with Dabs at ok £4 cheaper weeks ago and having my delivery date change more than Madonna's image over the last what; 30 years? I cancelled and went to Hughes, whom I got my 8000T off last year. I have been well impressed.

Ordered on Saturday after cancelling my Dabs order and the first date for delivery offered online at the same £6 as Dabs was Tuesday 25th, this was confimed at time of order and as of 12:30pm today it was strictly kept to. Well done Hughes.

Considering that Dabs UK was taking orders before Hughes customer support could advise a release date for the unit, I was impressed that Hughes got them in stock with enough for new orders (mine on Saturday 22nd) while Dabs was still saying 5-7 days for pre-orders that had been placed weeks before.
I ordered with Dabs weeks ago at £205 inc delivery, they since raised the price to £214 incl delivery while Hughes kept the same £209 inc del.

So where did you get yours, did it arrive on time and how much?

    Damon

Called at Comet Rochdale three hours ago and purchased one. They had two in stock. Reason for local purchase was so I can take it back easily if it becomes faulty.
If you quote the Comet code number which is 172-277177 they can easily check how many they have in stock at your local store. It's £229-99 of course but no delivery charge if you pick it up yourself.

Related thread on this gives the Comet phone numbers :

mine came just now from Hughes online, ordered on the 21st, £201 all in using the bupa code - Hughes deliver by citylink who i have always found pretty good - will post some comments on it in the main thread later on, i hope it's worth ditching my 8000t for!

Got mine today from Hughes after originally ordering from Empire Direct.

To be fair, ED were very good as I had been plaguing them with emails asking for updates on delivery for weeks! In the ned I gave up waiting and cancelled my order. They took this in good spirits and I would certainly order from them again - it's not their fault that Humax didn't deliver to them as early as other stockists.
I am sure if ED had been given accurate info from Humax, then they would have conveyed that to me.

I also had been phoning Humax twice a week for a month and always got the same response - 'we will be shipping the end of next week' - they said this every week!

So major thumbs up for Hughes Direct, and a hearty 'Good Try' for Empire Direct.

    Also see http://ws2.homecinematv.co.uk/

owned by Hughes, slightly different prices

We have a Hughes shop in the village, nice people, competent helpful and efficient though the stock is somewhat lacking, they're expecting Duovisios in real soon now and I suspect they'll get my business even though they're quoting £220 over the counter.

Many recommendations elsewhere for the quality of service from Turbosat (Toppy importers) though not exactly a low price, not used them personally though.

    £219 plus carriage.

Apologies if I'm being thick, but what do you mean by a "bupa code"?

    Thanks

    Damon,

    You must have missed THIS

It had been posted a few times, as I ordered mine on that basis (around the same time as you).
As it happens, I am in BUPA anyway! :smashin:

Bought twice from Turbosat (not a humax) both things arrived next day; and friendly and knowledgable after sales. They answer emails & pick up the phone. Recommended.
