HUMAX 9200T frozen

HELP! I switched on to set the PVR to record stuff for later and it has just frozen up on me. I left it for 20 minutes but nothing so I switched off at the mains. Now when I switch back on it just re-freezes.

Is there anything I can do or does it need to get serviced?

I have only had it since September so is still under warranty.

Try:
I've heard that holding the front-panel standby button whilst switching the power on, may help.
Also some have reported that to access the menu to do a defaults setting, without it freezing first, power off and disconnect the aerial from the PVR, then power on, do the defaults setting, then power off reconnect aerial etc.

It worked!

I had to unplug the aerial and reset to default but it is mended!

My 9200t was freezing after about 10secs.

Very useful post. Taking the aerial out and resetting the default worked.
