Humax 9200T controls not working properly

My Humax 9200T has been brilliant, but recently it's started playing up when fast forwarding/rewinding etc. If I press 2x it suddenly speeds up to 32x for no reason. When you then press stop or play, it takes a moment to slow down and change speed. Is this a software or hardware problem?

Possibly a sticking button on the remote?

Since the last OTA software upgrade I've noticed that mine responds somewhat more slowly to every command.
