Humax 9150 pvr freezing

My dads PVR is about 4 months old. In the last month is has frozen around 20 times. Someone times when watching television and more often than not when in standby he tries to turn it on and nothing happens - he has to power cycle it.

Any suggestions? He's using the Wrekin transmitter with a great signal.

I suggested he reset and research the channels. Or is there another setting he should check or send back?

As its happening mostly from Standby I would be inclined to take it back
But would suggest you contact Humax customer support
HUMAX
See if they can confirm that its a fault or a known issue with that model and suggest a fix for you
