as per the thread - i've spent the last weekend building a high spec HPTC for my mate and I wanna keep it - rock solid, very sweet on the sound too - bearing in mind he sold his seperates for over £3.5k, he wanted a one box solution for half the price.
Still on a learning curve with I-mon, but straight out of the box a definate for simple use.
As TT2 does do bass management with mp3, that even gives him a solution for audio use aswell as awesome DVD play back - now to get him hooked on HIDEF ts
basic spec was:-
1gb ram
asus deluxe mobo - amd
xp3200 400fsb
accent 400 silver case - inc imon
acostic pac for accent 400
nec 3500 dvd
zalman cpu cooler
seasonic psu
agp 6000gt
zalman vga cooler
rme 9632
rme daughter card
trs to xlr cables
xp pro
wd 250gb h/d - the loudest thing in the case - hindsight may have gone for a smaller quiter drive - but he wanted a 250gb
80 mm case fan
TheaterTek 2 inc latest patch
getting the drive door done was a nightmare - wasted loads of time making it look nice inside before trying to get it to post - big NO NO but hey live and learn.
Gonna be sad to let her go to her new home now
So anyone still sitting on the fence - take the plunge it's great fun too.
Now for the xlobby/imon interface.......................
