    A BIG favour to ask.

    Please can people with a LCD display connected to a pc please run this utility and post the results so we can understand which LCD's work best with HTPC's

    If it used information from the EDID, which it appears to do, then it is not going to be very informative since the EDID on many/most displays are incomplete and do not always specify the maximum acceptable resolutions. For example, the Sharp GD1E will accept 1366x768@60Hz, but the EDID does not mention this resolution.

    ah, thanks ianh64 for that.

    i really wish i could just sit in a room with a load displays and work out what works with what, instead of the usual magazine bolx about "this screen is really nice coz the the picture is really good"
