Hi All - Well, I have decided to go for it and have a go at building a HTPC - I got some excellent advice from some of you guys, who gave me the confidence to try a build even though I don't have much experience (well, no experience at all to be honest with you!).

I've been doing lots of researching on the internet and have chosen the following components - I'm not too sure if they are compatible or not, so I was wondering if there is anything amiss to let me know. I'm very new to this, but its been pretty good fun learning, but lets see how I got on first

I basically need a HTPC for music playback, watching DVD movies (not HD yet) maybe a bit of TV recording and occasional internet browsing on my Wharfdale 26" TV (cheap & cheerful). Don't worry too much about the prices I've listed here - I am a renowned skinflint, so I will hopefully find cheaper prices if I search long and hard enough.

Case: Antec Fusion V2. info
Motherboard: ASUS M2A-VM HDMI - Motherboard - micro ATX - AMD 690G info
CPU: AMD 64 3800 Athlon Dual Core AM2 info

TV Card: Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T 500 Dual digital DVB-T PCI TV card info

So there we go folks - If there are any conflicts, or things that won't fit, or if you have any suggestions, please let me know - I'm very new to this kind of thing so I'm learning by the seat of my pants!!!
