    Hi all
I’m thinking of going HTPC soon, and after reading over that past few days I’m still stumped over something.
I have an NTL box and was wondering can that be run through a HTPC so I can get all the channels and record them as well as pixel mapping.
The thing that has thrown me off is all the TV cards are analogue or digital free view and I don’t know what inputs/ outputs are available. Can anyone advise me?

I was thinking of this set up.

If you want to connect a STB you will need an anologue card, a digital one will not work. Connections will either be compersite or SVideo but no NTL box natively outputs SVideo so you would need a RGB -> SVideo convertor.

Um, you can also connect an STB to a PC using RGBs, with a capture card like the Sweetspot .. I did at one time. :)

Agreed though, a digital conenction isn't possible.
