Im really stuck as to the best way forward, your opinions greatlly appreciated.

i currently have an AMD64 3500+/1gigRam/X800pro/Dell24"tft/etc and am looking to get another box as an htpc to go on my new sony 50" TV.

i was thinking to upgrade my current box to something like:
Opteron170/2gigRam/X1900/etc and move my old box as the htpc

the question is.

Should i put the more powerful PC (new one) as the htpc
ie will enjoy gaming on the 50" tv more than my normal monitor ?

or

should i put my old one on to the TV as the htpc and enjoy the power of my new pc and gaming on my Dell monitor ?

people with htpc's that do gaming ? do you prefer gaming on your big TV or a normal PC monitor ?

thank you please

personally - games on the big screen are way better.
X1900 might be a bit noisy though for a HTPC. There are passive 7800GT's available that are more than up to the job
