Been thinking, is there some sort of HTPC setup whereby you can run all connections via HTPC to a PV500? Just thinking that in the long run a HTPC may be cheaper when HD DVDs materialise or Blu Ray.

Also is it possible to connect Sky to a HTPC and do away with the Digibox? Will it affect picture quality? What kind of Media/Graphics card would enable this sort of versatility? Can you get HDMI connections a HTPC?

Anyone know of any retailers/sites where I could see what kind of stuff is on the market?

Thanks in advance guys, I know its all questions at the moment!

No- you will still need the digibox but can connect it to the HTPC for post processing / recording. Sky do not (AFAIK) do a PC tuner card.

Depends what type of connection / capture card you use

You will need an analogue capture card and any graphics card.
Common connection types are s-video, which give varying mediocre to good results, advanced connection is the Sweetspot RGB capture card whic should give better picture quality.

Very uncommon, maybe non-existent. Can use a DVI to HDMI adapter though, (I think!).
