I have no picture through VGA or component, the projector is recieving a signal as it shows this in the menu and the screen stays black rather than going to the blue screen on inputs without a signal. S-video is ok. I have tried another component lead with the same result, hanging my AE100 back up at the bracket shows that works as good as it ever did
I did have some flickering which I thought was a cable fault before it died but apparantly not.
Anything I have missed before I return it? :suicide:

dont know, but mine too appears to be faulty and is going back later this week mate.
    different circumstances....
i have a machine that looks like someone has taken the bulb out and replaced it with a 10w bulb....
i also had what looked like a faint red line right across the bottom of the screen through all connections and from 3 different sources...
i used to have a fantastic picture and now its worse than the hs2 i had.
not having any luck lately as i also have had two 106" screens delivered which were both damaged on arrival...
    oh well.
hope you have luck in getting it fixed.

Mines all packed and going in the post today. Asked Ben to get the firmware upgraded whilst he has it, I presume it is due very soon.

    nope,you?
i've made a decision to leave it for at least a month before even asking.
when my hs10's bulb blew it took sony 9 weeks to repair it so its just a case of sitting tight and waiting.....
i'll keep you posted if i have any news mate.

No news yet on mine. Panasonic picked my AE100 up and had it returned within the same week but it looks like Sony are not quite in the same league if it takes 9 weeks for a bulb. I certainly wont be happy to wait that long, two weeks is long enough.

as a side note, when the hs10 died the company i purchased it from returned it to sony repair at heathrow and i was told they had 10 weeks to fix it or i would be given a brand new replacement.....
on the 9th week the company reminded sony of this and they replied that the 10 week maximum wait no longer existed because the repairing side of things had been recently taken over.....
funnily enough, the hs10 turned up the end of the 9th week.....
on recent experiences it looks like its a typical sony ploy to make people wait......
