For those of you who have upgraded from your HS10 to the HS20, or those who have auditioned the two lately, how much quieter is the HS20 over the HS10 ?

I am more than happy with my HS10 apart from the damn noise it makes especially as I watch mostly later in the evenings so can't allways compensate by turning up the volume.

But is it worth upgrading for this reason alone ?

Or are there any other PJs in the same price range that might be a better, quieter, option ?

    Cheers, Lee

I do not have a Sony projector but did come across this info while looking at HS20 prices:

    avland.co.uk

They seem to think the noise is only 28dB.

I have demoed the HS20 twice.... it is very quiet.

It was quieter than the Panny 300 (also in the demo) but not as quiet as the Hitachi PJ-TX10.

    I think fan-noise is a non-issue with this projector.
