Hs2 Start up time

    Since going through a disc wont eject /u 11 recovery mode incident, my 7 day old hs2 is now taking 4-5 mins to power up . Have tried reformatting Hdd but no change , Any ideas ??

    Try playing a bought dvd, this may clear the problem with the drive reading a disc.
    You do only leave a dvd in the drive when you need one?, as it dramatically increases the startup time even when working perfectly, and there is always the risk of the u11 error even on previously ok media.

    Thanks Ken , Will give it a try , Last night things seemed to get back to normal ( after I had watched a prog from a ram disc ?) but later on in the evening after recording on to the hard drive + doing some edits problem seems to have come back .

    ( Ps The start time is with the disc drive empty )

    Update .. Hdd not responding at all now , Time to send it back :(
