Can anyone help a confused bloke? I have a Sony HS10 currently fed from an old Sony DVP-S715 player via S-Video and I want to upgrade. Looked at the Philips 963SA and Harman Kardon DVD25 but heard about lip sync probs on prog scan, so I'm now looking at either a Brite View or an Iscan.
Firstly, does the HS10 have it's own scaler and / or de-interlacer and if so, are they any good?
Next, which box? Brite View? Iscan Pro? Iscan Ultra? What's the difference? I don't mind paying for an Iscan Ultra if it will give the best bang for buck in terms of increased pic quality. In that case, I'd just buy a component out equipped player. But I don't know whether an Iscan Ultra is good value for money in my case, or just a waste?
Any advice?
