What is the expected life of the bulb in this pj?

Is it affected by the Cinema Mode (Dynamic, Standard, Cinema) and/or the Cinema Black On/Off setting?

Is it normal for the fan speed to increase when changing from Standard/Cinema to Dynamic?

Does the hours usage meter take into account the above factors?

    Thanks

    Hi
As far as I know the bulb life on the HS10 is circa 2000h in 'dynamic' mode and circa 3000h in 'cinema' mode. The fan runs at a slower speed in 'cinema' mode because the lamp power is reduced. This decreases the lumen output and increases the contrast and the lamp life as a side benefit.

No idea about the hours meter. I haven't noticed actually.

    cheers
    J

The on screen "useage" timer doesn't indicate anything, just total hours used.

There's no "extra" timer in the service menu either - just shows the previous lamp timer hours & "idle time" - i.e. time bulb was off due to no signal being rec'd, assuming you've selected power saving.
