On Friday I got myself a new HP Desktop PC P6235UK
Unit has Windows 7 64bit and Intel i5 Chip.
All works weel and nice and fast except for one thing.
iTunes and my iPhone 3GS
When trying to set this up the synch spped is very slow and often comes up with a Timeout error or unknown error -6999 and disc could not be found.
Doing a google it would seem some issues exist with new HP laptops using the Intel P55 chipset (same as my desktop).
The following link is for a BIOS update for HP laptops for the very issue I have
WinFlash Utility for HP Notebook System BIOS (for Notebooks with Intel Processors) HP Pavilion dv7t-3000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)
The following thread is also on the same subject...
Win 7 64 bit + Intel P55 Chipset (HP dv7t laptop) + iTunes/iPhone = Sync Failure
HP however tell me it is a Apple issue.
Any thoughts?

Fixes and issue where some USB devices, such as iPODs or iPhones, do not sychronize correctly.
