HP laser printer

Have an HP M175nw laser printer that suddenly decided to print very feint and now just give s me blanks. All the cartridges have plenty of ink. Have done all the reset stuff that HP suggest still same.
All I can think of is that the image drum is kaput. I would like to be sure as a new one of those costs around £80. Am I thinking in the right direction?
