just wondering the abouve laptop is a amd 64 athlon x2
i have allways suspected the gpu until tonight.
even cold it is now crashing.
where running windows 7 has same fault with vista
we have the gadgets on the side bar with the cpu usage meter.
we notice before it crashes core two drops to zero then core one becomes unresponcive then it starts refusing to do things then it crashes with this screen.

now we had allways assumed it had a faulty gpu but could that cause the laptop to become unresponcive even tho its still running like say msn is still showing as sighning in with the symble spinning but then it does that screen.
windows 7 was a clean instal hard drive formated etc.
any software to test the laptop on the cpu and ram
thanks for your help craig
