My Mrs got a lie in, afternoon nap and has chosen some drivel to watch on telly tonight.

Anyone else have a successfully pampered father's day?

No lie-in, 6 hours of housework, 5 hours prepping the GF's car before she puts it up for sale.

Finally got round to sitting down at 20:30. Can't even drink as i'm on-call! :(

Was given planning permission for a lie-in but my stupid atomic body clock was having none of it.

Got some nice beers and home made cards from the kids and then went out for the day with some friends to Drayton Manor. They had set up some kind of a dad crèche (basically a bar) so I was left in there with a mate and we accidentally got a little bit drunk and then went on some rides.

Went home and fell asleep on the sofa for a couple of hours, so a pretty good day in all :)

Went to visit my dad's grave so was a bit down when got home. As soon as I entered, missus and son waiting for me with lots of hugs, kisses, a present and two cards ( one shop bought and the other my 3.5 yr old made which looked like he had thrown up on it lol). That brightened up my day so a happy little bunny indeed!

Hope everyone else had a great one!

I had a better day then I expected. Presents from both my boys this morning, took my eldest out to buy some school trousers and a detour to a decent cafe for a full English. My youngest decided he wanted to leave the house today which was amazing (first time since mid April) Walked with him round the block :) He was very happy today, playful and full of laughs which was a present in itself. Wife cooked a nice meal this evening and we caught up with the new series of Vikings. I enjoyed it :)

Good day for me, two daughters made me cards at nursary and the eldest (just 4) managed to order me a securid wallet from the Netherlands which was clever! Wife went to work at 7:30am and i made craft stick men with the kids and generally did lots of toddler girl games i can't usually usually hack for too long! Even had pretend picnic on a blanket in my living room!

To all the dads with a son i bet its fantastic to have some boy bonding time but daughters are ace. I just wish they'd stop asking me to play dolls....i really just can't find enthusiasm for it lol

Trust me, it doesn't get much easier.

I have 4 girls aged 7, 5, 3 and 1 but I suppose i have it a little bit easier as the eldest 3 usually play dolls between them and have a little basketball/ drawing or computer time with me.

Hehe na we always wanted 4. Although we are actually expecting a 5th and final child, surprise surprise it's also a girl :)

We lost 2 in miscarriages early on and always had a feeling that maybe we couldn't carry boys but I don't know. Every pregnancy I've always wanted girls because I know what I was like as a child.

The eldest 2 have a few goes at each other but overall they're pretty quiet and happy to do their own thing. It's normally the 1 - 2 years that are testing times when they want to tell you something but can't so end up shouting or screaming at every small thing.

But means more cuddles and laughs so I'm happy, especially on fathers day. I have to admit though, I didn't expect to have 5.

On my own in Orlando. Family thousands of miles away. Sat by the pool with a work colleague drinking beer whilst we melt in the sun.

Off to the Tilted Kilt now for a spot of dinner and more beer.

    Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery

    Cheers,

    Nigel

    Great day.

Bit of a lie in, then a full English. Then got the tv with my boys to play destiny trials of Osiris. Didn't win, but good fun.

Then off out with my eldest in a football tournament which they won!

Then home, got changed and then a lovely meal out.

Plus some cool presents including a very fetching new hat.

It looks like a MacHooters! :)

Quite nice day for me. We went out on Saturday night to take the kids to see Jurassic World, stopped at the coast and got some chips then let the kids loose in an arcade for an hour. The neighbours had warned us they were having a party, complete with live music etc. and sure enough when we got home the police were just leaving

Sunday was spent relaxing, playing CoD: WA and watching a couple of films.

My 6 YO Daughter started being sick around 6.00am so that was the start of Fathers Day. My Wife did her best but I could not get back to sleep as i heard lots of bed changing, runs to bathroom, washing machine going on. I took my 9 YO daughter for some bonding time at Lidl where I purchased a German Stein and bottle of beer promo which my daughter wanted me to have. then me and her drove over to visit my dad and had a roast with parents and sister. Whilst I still have a father who nearly died a couple of years ago through a massive heart attack , this day, he takes priority.

We were babysitting the nephews, so no lie-in, but still had coffee and granola in bed before they got up. Got a nice card and a Draper workshop-apron which my little boy had written "Daddy" and drawn a picture on :) Then, chilling watching the F1 qualifying on catch-up whilst my boy and the nephews played, and then took them to Coral Reef in Bracknell for a swim. McDonalds dinner then watched the F1 highlights in bed :D

    Made a weekend of it

Saturday we had family round and I did a BBQ, weather was looking rubbish in the morning, rain finally stopped about 2pm and the sun came out, lovely afternoon in the end.

Sunday got a lie in, then got up to presents from my daughter, her and the wife then nipped out to give me a quiet afternoon until going round my folks for dinner :)

    Had a cracking Fathers day.
Got spoilt by the kids with sweets, Elder Scrolls Online collector's edition, and home made cards and bookmarks.
After breakfast I went to watch my wife and my daughter (who's 6yrs old) run in Race for life. Which they completed in around 40mins. Faster than I would be able to do it lol.
Then the wife made some sausage sandwiches with sausages from our local butchers. They were really thick and had a lot more flavor.
After that I pretty much chilled out eating sweets, playing my game, being silly with the kids and sleeping. :)

Pleasant enough. Was able to sleep to a mighty 7.30am. I then received an excellent new t-shirt before going to a food festival at Waddesdon Manor. I was able to get some work done in the afternoon before over to the in-laws for a takeaway. Vintage day, no but a perfectly pleasant one.

Not a bad day for me.
Went to a wedding the night before, I was driving, so wife had a bit of hangover Sunday.
Youngest daughter was staying at my sisters, so no cards or pressies from her or my two boys until I picked her up.
I dropped in to see my dad on the way past, gave him his usual dark chocolate and a couple of books.
My kids (well chosen gifts by my wife) were:
    Weber Barbecue tool holder.
Pizza peel (for use on BBQ).
Pen holder for my desk in shape of big pencil sharpener.
Toblerone (bad choice as my kids love it too).
Cadbury fruit and nut (good choice as my kids hate it).

Did a BBQ in the evening for us and in-laws.
    So not a bad day.

Had a great start to the day with a lovely Sausage sarnie followed by doing not much at all. Then off to a pub for a lovely dinner then back home for some back breaking deep cleaning as my son is supposed to go in for surgery on Monday. Just rang them and they have said they have no beds !
