How to share videos to 32pfl4508h/12 ?

We have a 32pfl4508h/12

We can plug in an ethernet cable to it.

Let's say we have a Linux server in the network.

The big question: what share do I have to config, so that the Philips TV will see them (videos) over network? (And play as films)

I am only interested in the technology to use, not exact config! So Samba share? FTP? NFS? SFTP? or some custom closed-source protocol?

That's a 2013 tv, your best bet is probably DLNA. You need to install a media server on Linux that supports DLNA and share those media files with your tv.
