Hi guys,

Sat on the sofa right now and noticed the leather on one of the seats corner is starting to crack.

It doesn't look bad and seems to have started recently. Probably now is a good time as ever to sort it.

Question is what product shall I use? Iv seen plenty of cleaners and conditioners but nothing really for cracks once they have started. I'd imagine some kind of binding cream or glue???

Anyone recommend something you have used ?

Perhaps some of you into car detailing who have restored leather seats might know....

Attached some pics, both of the same area.

Pointless tbf, don't derail the thread it is a genuine question that the op is seeking an answer for.

I can personally vouch for the products from this place, they do colour matched kits although you have to order the filler extra and there is lots of info on how to DIY.
I have used their stuff for both household furniture and car leather and it is excellent

Wow this stuff looks like just what I need, thanks.

I read somewhere that they state if the cracks are very minimal which I think is the stage mine is at then the filler isn't needed and the binder should be enough. Fingers crossed.

I found some gliptone leather cleaner and conditioner in the back of the cupboard last night and treated the affected area to stop it getting worse and it certainly helped. The binder should give it a long lasting fix.

Noticed that the gliptone stuff was removing some of the colour though so I applied very lightly [emoji20].

Any idea if the furniture clinic stuff is likely to do this also in case I will probably need to get some colour restorer?
