I send my Sky+ RGB feed thru a JS VGA Converter & then into the pw7 PC input.
When I watch BBC News (1 & News 24) & they cut to a video piece, I get a black bar down the right hand side of the picture, but not on the left. Even going to zoom setting doesnt remove it.
When prog returns to the studio presenter, the pic fills the whole screen.

What's going on & how do I stop it?
    Thanks.

This is normal and happened on my Loewe Xelos CRT and I now get it on my PWD6. It seems to happen when they broadcast a 4:3 image as 16:9. It's in the original broadcast source and I don't think there's anything that we can do about it.

    Thanks for the prompt feedback.
At least I don't have to worry about diving into the setup menu!
    Cheers.

Teresa is correct. News 24 zooms 4:3 material to 14:9 and initially left narrow black bars on each side of the picture. Now they've opted to fill the screen on the left hand side and have a wider black bar on the right. When they have a horizontal red bar with story details on it, that extends to fill both sides of the screen even when they're showing zoomed 4:3 material.

If you look at THEIR plasma's in the studio, they do it too! This is how I found out that I shouldn't worry about it!
