I have recently bought Toshiba RD-88DT, how do i use it to record sky tv. Do i need to have an rgb scart to s video lead to achieve this?

    Any response would be appreciated.

    Cheers

the standard connection from a sky box to any recorder is a fully wired 21 pin scart from the tv out scart socket of the sky box to the line input scart socket of the recorder

then set the sky box and recorder to 16:9 widescreen and also RGB

Thanks for the response, but Toshiba RD-88DT doesn't have a rgb scart input. It only has svideo or composite .

    Cheers

    Hi :hiya:
Those connections on Front of machine are usually for hooking up a Video Camera to Recorder
If you look at the back of machine there is 2 Scart sockets
    One for TV out(AV1)
    Other for AV/decoder in (AV2)
Connect Sky to AV2 to record it
Select AV2 or Line 2 input on Recorder remote
Set TV to DVD input to confirm right Input on DVD has been selected for Recording Sky
