Hello All,
Well I've recently picked up my shiny new Stax-3170 system and can I just say I am in love with the sound. There is one small issue though It is a pain to use the way I currently have it hooked up so looking for alternatives. The main receiver is an Onkyo TX-NR3030 all my sources are connected to it and I mostly use lossless FLAC for my music via the HTPC. All is well but the only way I could connect the headphone was via the Zone 2 out on the main receiver. This introduces some issues:
Pain to keep switching zone 2 on and off,
Getting some noise from the PC
cannot play multichannel music
computer keeps switching back to stereo only when zone two gets enabled.
So I am looking for other ways to connect the headphone amp.
