    Hi there, check this thread:

    http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139019

It's long but within the first few pages it links to tutorials and files to convert your Xbox from PAL to NTSC and back anytime using software without chipping the box. Unless you really want to chip your box for various reasons, this technique is totally reversible and the sheer number of people doing it (myself iincluded) and on Live suggest it's Live-friendly.

Basically, all you need is a memory card capable of transferring saves between your PC and the Xbox (such as an Action Replay or Mega X Key, probably between £10 and £30), a copy of Splinter Cell or Mech Assault (visit eBay and you're talking about £10-15) and one of the hacked save files. Cheaper, easier, reversible... Using this technique, I can even run Xbox Media Center which is perfect.

Although the thread is about hi-def gaming, the root of high definition support on a PAL Xbox is switching it to an NTSC Xbox.

    Cheers,

    Colin
