My MCE2005 machine has an M-Audio Revolution 7.1 soundcard, with the digital output going into a Pioneer VSX-D2011 amp. I'm using the new NVidia Pure decoder for my audio decoding.

My problem is that the digital output seems to alternate between 48kHz and 96kHz. Unfortunately my amp can't do Dolby Prologic II processing on a 96kHz signal, so it reverts to stereo. This means that my sound alternates between stereo and DPLII,which is a bit disconcerting....

As far as I can tell, normal TV output is at 48kHz. But when I use the MCE remote to flick between screens, it switches to 96kHz and seems to stay there for a random amout of time.

Is there any way I can set the PC to not switch to 96kHz mode?

    Cheers
    Chris
