    Hi all,

Apologies if this has been posted before but I couldn't find anything when searching.

I've got a few scart cables, and I want to know how I can identify which one(s) are RGB. I know I bought one a couple of years back but its got mixed up with a load of others.

Is there a simple way I can check with my multimeter?

    Thanks.

Check and see if pin 7 is connected through - that's the blue wire which is incredibly unlikely to be connected in anything other than an RGB capable SCART.

Or are you trying to identify one which is RGB only (no audio) - in which case, you need to check and see that pin 3 is not connected.

    Cheers Steve,

Yes, I'm looking for one containing RGB and audio so I'll check pin 7 for continuity.

    Thanks again.
