I´m in the process of getting an Infocus 5700, and I assume I´ll watch tv on the projector with the VCR´s(some panasonic model) internal tuner. But when I watch my current TV, the picture from the VCR is AWFULL(pail colours and lots of grain) compared to the TV´s tuner.

Is there any way to improve this.. are there seperate tuners that are better(and with teletext) that I should buy.. or do most people watch terrestrial TV with crap quality on their projector?

No digital TV here, except SKY via the dish.. they look fine(although I haven´t tried looping them through the VCR, probably end up looking like crap).

The local channels are not digital, don´t look that great, but from the VCR they are terrible.

I've got a digital TV card in my PC which I then link up to the projector. However, most of the time I watch normal programmes on a normal TV (saving the projector experience for movies and games)

You could just got for a normal TV card, slot it in a PC and hook the PC up to the projector. If you get a decent card it should give a better picture than what you seem to be getting with a VCR.
