    Hi guys,

    I just posted my first ever proper video on youtube showing how to do this and thought I would share it here. The quality is alright but much easier to see if you click on the option to watch it in HD. I need a bit of practice in my filming skills! Any comments on my guide would be appreciated :thumbsup:

    Cheers :)

    The app is called "touch dial emoji".

    If you send emoticons they will show up on any iphone regardless if it has the app or not. However it will not show up on another model of a mobile phone :)

    Cheers guys I was half asleep when I did it and forgot about the price. I was going to compare it to a similar other one but I thought it might be a bit long winded. I am going to try reviewing some apps and will post them once done for your thoughts :)

    I need to find the best way of filming them too.

    Yeah go for it. Some of the video's that the guys on youtube do are very good,
    some are poor. Think the best thing to do is plan the "shoot":blush: before.
    Do it in stages.
    not sure about what cam to use or how(maybe get someone else to film it) but again get them involved in the planning.
    Although ya not directing a film you still want it to be polished so people will watch it. Good luck I WILL be watching:smashin::hiya:

    There's another app that will allow you to turn on emojis that costs only 59p, its by frostyplace and is a chinese RSS reader, do an app store search.

    It's a bit of a workaround and only works when downloaded & installed on s/w 2.2 however once installed your phone can be updated to 2.2.1 and/or the app can be deleted and emojis will still be enabled. As it appears to be an exploit that gets blocked by 2.2.1 there's no guarantee that apple may not block it in future s/w updates, but for 59p its worth a try.

    Basically, make sure you're on s/w 2.2 first, download the app, and have a play with it for about 5 minutes, its all in chinese but if you open a few articles and 'read' them, the app for some reason enables the emoji dictionary in the japanese int'l dictionary list.

    @bluegolf
    Your girlfriend needs to perform a software update, emoticons only work on phones running 2.2 or later.
