AV clueless friend of mine (who lives near Carlisle) visited my Warwickshire home and was so wowed by my Aconda that he has decided to buy an Aventos (he won't run to an Aconda because he is also something of a tightwad - the fact that he's moved beyond a lifetime of never spending more than a couple of hundred on a telly is itself a testament to the Aconda's persuasive performance)... and he does already have a component out equipped cheapo Tosh DVD deck. From my own experience I advised against online purchase because of the difficulty in swapping CRT lemons with "debatable" flaws... can anyone suggest a good outlet in Cumbria... ? Many thanks...

Well the Loewe dealers for the area are Peter Tyson (don't know what they're like) or Binns (which aparently is part of House of Fraser)

failing that try Penrith or Newcastle has Fenwicks/House Of Fraser/some independents

Peter Tysons are BIG LOEWE dealers, they will easily sort your friend out. Go to the Hifi shop not the TV shop!

The TV shop has the Sony, Panny, Tosh etc and a few Loewe, the HiFi shop normally has more Loewe and B and Os. Either shop will be fine but there might be more to see in the Hifi shop. Trust me!

Hadwins in Kendal sell Loewe. They are very pricey though ... £1799 for the Panasonic TX-36pl30 I recently paid £918 for from Empire Direct.
