how to find registry values?

    type regedit, from Start -> Run

    Then drill down thru the menu trees.

    Always worth backing up the registry first before making changes in case you delete/alter something you shouldn't :)

    any ideas what i'm supposed to do.How do I check what i'm supposed to. Does the expression "duck out of water" mean anything?

    Well I'd advise staying out of your registry then :p

    Seriously, not wise editing reg entries/values unless you know what you're doing.

    yep, if you don't know the registry, stay out of there!

    Otherwise a re-install may be needed!

    Good advice guys but any idea how I can solve my problem.Have reinstalled windows and also the latest patches/ service packs but all to no avail.

    Click Start, and then click Run.
    Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
    When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded" message, click OK.
