I normally delete the browsing history by going into ie then tools then delete and you can see it progressing but now when I press delete nothing seems to happen although there must be plenty to delete. Is it possible to view your browsing history and see if it has been deleted.

that's one of the few bad things about edge. it's still not as accessible as chrome or firefox. that said, it does have a private window mode, both in windows and in xbox. anything you browse with that mode active will not be recorded at all. however, your isp will still be able to know it.

For most of the browsers, You will get the "History" window if you press Ctrl+H. Then you can see all the browsing history in front of you. And all the tools as well.

Yes there is. But of course there is no Keyboard shortcut to it, In every internet web browser, there is an option for History, where you can see what you have been browsing and also you can delete or remove that history.
