Hi,plenty of converters about for DVD etc etc to iPod(or even Zune,as long as you pick right screen resolution, think Zune is the same anyway?),convert to Mpeg4 or whatever iPod requires,my neice got a iPod video, put her 'The Incredibles' on it in Mpeg4 format, worked OK.Check out other posts on this forum, sure to be something.

    Cheers BOB

ps normally convert to fairly small size also.

    Hi,
this is driving me nuts - I have used the Videodora software, successfully ripped several DVD's to transfer to my video Ipod....

However, whenever I try to sync the Ipod with any of these files, it always comes up with the same message - Ipod cannot play these files..

I've tried changing the type of output between mp4 and h264 file types, but whatever I do, no joy...

Any ideas? The ripped files show up as IFO and VOB files, do they need renaming into something else, or is there something basic I've overlooked?

    Thanks in advance anyone!

Bouncer, thanks, but I've tried this....None of the files I've copied over from DVD will work, always get the same message....Not a format that Ipod can play etc. Even when converted to AVi, or whatever.

And I've tried several different programs.

    I'll keep trying!

Okay Well this is what im doing (Although im using a different player that has more video types as far as I know)

FairUse Wizard 2 and convert the DVD experiment with it as it auto makes it a AVI and im sure the iPod only plays MPEG4? So if you cant make it a MPEG4 from that program your best just making it a AVI then converting it maybe?

    Or use Xilisoft DVD converter

Although with Fareuse you cna crop the black bar out I dont know if you can with Xilisoft

Hope oyu can make sence of my jiberish :D

Just looked in Fairuse and theres a option its a srop down menu and theres a bit that says iPod something or other as I crashed it as im runiing this program 3 times xD
