How to connect Xbox 360 online

    just bought an Xbox 360 for my lad and he wants to get onto this xbox live

    we have a modem downstairs but the cable is to short to go to his bedroom

    is it possible to buy a wireless modem for downstairs ?? and if so will the xbox be able to work off this

    also if i do need a wireless modem which 1 do i go for ??

    any help really appreciated :smashin:

    get a netgear dg834n

    they are brilliant

    and then you coluld go for the wireless xbox card and connect that way.

    we use a dlink wireless down stairs,which runs a lap top plus 3 xbox 360's all at the same time with no faults at all.dont bother getting the 360 wireless adaptor,we usethe belkin wireless g gameing adaptor on all three 360's and they work fine and are alot cheaper.a.t.b shaun

    got the wireless router all set up what do i need now to get the xbox online its to much hassle to get the cables from the xbox to the router

    what am i missing ??

    If you connect an Ethernet cable from the router into the Xbox and then you should be able to get online. If an Ethernet cable isnt an option then you will have to get the Wirelss Adapter for the 360.

    it would be to much of a ball ache to connect via cables so whats sort of gaming adapter can i use is there more than 1 if so what do you recommend TIA :smashin:

    If you have a broadband connection with Bt, Talk Talk, etc then look at the routers on this page Clicky!
    if however your with Virgin look hereClicky!
    and to connect your 360 wirelessly to the router, the easiest way(but not cheapest) is to get one of these Clicky!
