    Dear Gentlemen,
    Greetings,
I'm so impressive due to the rich experiences and technical information I found on avforums.com, which encourage me ask about the best way of connecting / wiring my following stuff:

    TV: SAMSUNG SMART TV 55H7000
    HDMI IN PORTS: FOUR (4)
HDMI 1 (STB) highlighted by yellow.
    HDMI 2 (ARC)
    HDMI 3
    HDMI 4 (DVI)

    HOME THEATER : SONY BDV-N990W
    HDMI IN PORTS: TWO (2)
    HDMI 1
    HDMI 2

HDMI OUT PORT: ONE (1) (ARC)

    SATELLITE RECEIVER : HUMAX IR3000
    HDMI OUT PORT: ONE (1)

    MEDIA STREAMER & RECORDER:

    XTREAMER PRODIGY 4K
    HDMI OUT PORT: ONE (1)
    HDMI IN PORT: ONE (1)

    Xtreamer Prodigy 4K

    GAMING PLATFORM: PLAYSTATION 3 + XBOX 360
HDMI OUT PORT: ONE (1) FOR EACH

Now, my questions are as follows:-

    1. What is the best way to connect all of them using 1.4 HDMI cables in order to achieve the maximum benefits and getting 5.1 surround sound from any source?

    2. What is the extra benefit(s) of HDMI 1 (STB) in my Samsung TV rather than other ports (of course except HDMI 2 with ARC)?

    3. is there any extra benefit(s) of connecting any device whatever the TV or the bluray with extra digital optical audio cable (S/PDIF)?

    4. What is the deference between the following audio formats? and Please confirm which option shall I set? by other words: how cloud I determine the Bitstream / the audio is encoded with?

Finally, thank you very much for your time, efforts, kind cooperation and support.

    All the best.

    Connectivity:

TV - connect the ARC port of the AV System to the ARC port on the TV.

Game Console A* - connect the HDMI Out to either HDMI 1 or 2 on the AV System.

Game Console B* - connect the HDMI Out to either HDMI 1 or 3 on the TV plus Optical Out to Optical In on the AV System. (makes no difference which HDMI Input on the TV you use).

*You can decide which is A and which is B.

Media Streamer - connect the HDMI Out to either HDMI 1 or 2 on the AV System.

HDMI cables - are either Standard or High Speed. Version numbers are not relevant. On short cable runs pretty much any HDMI cable will do.

Bitstream (decoded in the AV System) vs LPCM (decoded in the Player) 'how to decide' - try both, its most likely you won't hear any difference. PCM is required with Blu-ray if you wish to hear 'auxiliary' audio as it is mixed into the signal on the Player.
