Firstly, I admit being a novice  so I hope my question has an easy answer.

I have decided to get a Pioneer 720H-S (mainly because of DV in/out) and need to connect tv/vcr/sky and possibly my old dvd player. I would like the Sky signal to go to all relevant devices (tv/vcr/720h) and would also like to transfer old vhs tapes to the 720H.

I connect using SCART although I will probably use component video when I get my act together and buy myself a plasma.

Thanks for any thoughts and advice.

oh - and one more thing: I have noticed prices on SCART cables vary a lot. Higher prices - better quality I suspect. When is it worthwhile buying good cables? as having an old Sony with average crt-picture quality I guess it would be a waste of money.
