Can anybody help with buying an electric shower. When we moved into our house there was a Gainsbourgh electric shower that broke two months after moving in. We replaced it with the same model which has now broke 13 months later. Anyway we are getting the whole bathroom done so are free to choose any electric shower we want. Can anybody suggest one to go for? Also what power of shower should I choose? There is a choice of 7.5, 8.5, 9.5 or 10.5KW models.
I have a budget of about £150.

Rather than an integrated power shower why don't you just get an on-demand pump plumbed into your system ? I know people who have them in the loft but ours is mounted under the bath. We have a standard shower mixer and hose but the water is under 2.5 BAR pressure from the pump.
Seeing as you are having the bathroom done you could get a twin pump as we have and also pump to the bath.

Much less to go wrong as well. The only downside is that it wont heat the water
