I was wondering the other day (as you do), am I wierd because I listen to music all the time? The first thing I do when I get in is to press play on my CD-player, just to have background music at least, and because my bed room is my only room, my system is in there so I go to sleep with music on repeat (so I've got something when I wake up). How often do the rest of you listen to music?

All the time in my room if I'm not working or watching a film. I can't work with music on - I listen too hard and don't get anything done.

I'd be much more naive without music.

When I'm not actually listening to anything I'm always playing it to myself in my head.

if i'm in the house on my own, then the TV doesn't really get a look in.....soon as my daft missus gets in, the only thing that gets attention is the bloody TV.....must think about either trading in the TV or the missus.....

    ...i know which one i'd prefer....here's a hint, the TV doesn't make a mess.....

mjn - you should become a tellytubby

I'd like to rip down all terrestrial television arials and possibly get rid of Sky. That way Pre-Recorded material would be the only thing watched.

Although - as expected - it isn't really a viable option

Me too. Either the last CD I was listening to, or a pretend 'concert' by a favorite band!

    Sad innit! :D :D

I listen to music all the time in the car and that is probably my main vehicle for music (pun intended  :D ). I listen maybe 3 or 4 days a week when at home, each day would be about 2 or 3 albums.

All the time in the car, thats about 6 hrs a day. At home, its balanced between, playing guitar (around 2hrs a day), watching the odd film on the PJ. I cant work and listen to music, infact background music drives me nuts. I either listen, play or have complete silence, Im unable to multitask.

I have to work with music on, I hate complete silence (unles you're out in the country and you can really hear true silence).

Most of my listening is now done via the computer. I've converted all my CDs into WMA files and the quality is good. I would guess at about 3 hours per day. It's very rare these days for me to listen to CDs via the hifi.

My stereo is on shuffle whenever i'm in my room apart from sleeping and watching movies.

    It's just gotta be done.

Shuffles are evil. What is their point? To enable you to listen to an album in a random order thus ruining all the careful production and arrangement that went into the album :thumbsdow I've never hit shuffle on any CD player I've ever owned except by accident :lesson: :D
