How much will a good tv cost?

How much would a good tv cost? I'm looking for a LED or plasma (haven't chosen yet) all of the ones that I have taken interest in are out of my price limit of £1500 I'm interested in the F8500 or the F8000 but they are around £2000 each.
Will I just simply have to raise my price limit?

I don't buy tvs often the last time I got one was 7 years ago

Out of curiosity what would you go for the st60 or the f8500 (putting price aside) I like both tvs but I would be willing to spend an extra £500 if there was a big difference in picture

Probably around 50 inches, I've measured the distance it is from my tv stand to my sofa and it is exactly 101 inches so I'm not sure if I could go bigger
Anyway the st60 has caught my attention and I will definitely look into it thank you for that

Read the reviews and Panasonic 2013 thread and you'll know as much as me.;)
Personally Im looking at the F8500 and VT65. Going by the review though the GT60 would have interested me if it was 55", sadly its not.
