I want to buy a denon 2800 to get progressive scan.

I don't know what to sell my old players for though.

I have a US Pioneer 606 (with handset multi region). It has component and s-video out.

I also have a region 2 Sony CX-850 200 disc multichanger which is multi region, s-video and RGB out

How much are these going for at the moment (roughly)?
Where would you recommend selling them - e-bay or elsewhere?

    thanks in advance

It is difficult to price what is effectively "old technology" as the price should relate to what it would cost today and not to it's original purchase price.

I sold my Pioneer 606D last month to a neighbour for £50 and then spotted one on E-Bay which had been bid up to £150.
My selling price was probably too low but £150 was equally too high.

After reading some threads about TV Shopping I watched bid-up TV last last (in the interests of research) and people were bidding £175 for an Aiwa DVD player without RGB, which is the price that one can buy a multi region Toshiba 210 for.

Perhaps you can get together with other 606 owners who wish to upgrade and auction them off on bid-up TV.

I sold mine for £100, I think that was a fair price as the Pioneer 444 and Toshiba are both substantially better and can be bought new for £170 with a guarantee. My 626 was multi region techtronics modded.
