I use my PC for playing DVD's on my TV via s-video geforce out & SBlive spdif for DD5.1 passthru. This seems to work well, however i am planning on purchasing a stand-alone DVD player for RGB, ease of use etc. To get an overscanned picture on my tv i use a program called TVTOOL (Hang in there ill get to the question soon!) which according to the software literature provides the same size picture as a home dvd player would. TVTool also has a resize feature which enables you to adjust the overscan to match your tv - i was amazed to find how much i'd been missing at each side when i adjusted it!
So to my question, do home dvd players allow you to adjust the amount of overscan?
Has anyone got experience of both PcDvd & HomeDvd & have any other views as regards ad/disadvantages?
    Thanks.
