its not a for sale thread as i am still in two minds whether or not to sell but i have approx 4month old rel r305 in gloss black. its mint condition with the bits and pieces but am thinking of getting one big sub (looking at a rel b1) rather than my original idea of 2/3 smaller ones.
i have discovered one big sub is probably easier to get past my wife than 3 smaller ones :lesson:
new it was £895 but i got it at £800, what do you think its worth as its not something i have seen for sale before?

Well, I've just seen an ex-demo piano black for £635, so you'd think it would be in that ballpark.

As a slight aside, seeing as you're considering the B1, you might want to add the SVS PB13 Ultra to your list :smashin:

is there anywhere i can actually listen to the svs though?
i have this bug bear that svs and bk are punted as the best subs availible for the money but i like to demo stuff (usually at home) before i buy and aren't these just online companies?
as well as the rel i am trying a B&W asw825 and a velodyne dd sub as well - all of which i can go and listen to first!

    Yes, it's a big problem, I agree.
You have to go down to Kent to listen, although I'd say it's worth it, when you consider the possible savings (I've no doubt the B1 is a great sub, but so's the Ultra).

Otherwise, you might be able to listen closer to home via one of the forumites.

I'm in Birmingham and a demo wouldn't be a problem, for instance.

If you want a demo of a SVS PB13U moonfly has one and I think he is in the Manchester area he might give you a demo if you ask him nice.:)
