    a simple question here guys

how much difference would i get from using stands for my front kef eggs than if they were simply sat on an av unit?

if i picked some up for £60 would it be worth it?

Stands can make a big difference, for such a light speaker I would look at some mass loaded stands if possible

The primary function of stands is to hold the speakers firmly at a fixed hight. If the Kef stands do this, then they are probably fine although in my experience, lighter speakers respond better to mass loaded stands (but not always). The aesthetics are of course a entirely separate matter

so if i can get original kef stands for 60 is it worth the expense? looks aside?

i could do with getting them more around screen height i think and dont particularly want to wall mount so that im free to move my system around if the need arises

The stands will put the tweeters at ear height, and are made obviously for the KEFS,but they are way overpriced for what they are,are flimsy, and poor quality.

I don't think so,but if the asthetics are important, then get them, they're very skinny, flimsy,it's only the weight on the floor that hold them, how on earth they were £100 is beyond me.
