So, how much over the odds did you pay the eBayers for you Wii? I'll admit that I paid £340 for a Wii and Wii Play. The reaction of my daughter on Christmas morning was, to be honest, worth it.

I just bought one from Toys R Us - console was £179 but it was in a bundle so cost me £279 (with a £10 off voucher) for the console +sports + Zelda + Rayman + Red Steel. Also bought Wii Play separate (£32.99) and another nunchuk (£14.99) so total spend on the Wii was £326.98. Considering that was with 5 games and 2 full controller sets (Wiimote & Nunchuk) I think it was pretty good value.

I wouldn't pay over RRP as a matter of principle personally, but I understand why some people have (pleasing the kids etc.). I did queue for mine though.

I notice that you have not yet voted in your poll.

Same as Makey, though I voted 200 quid as RRP wasn't in the poll :(

I did buy it with Zelda though.

All the added costs such as Classic Controller, another nunchuk, Wii Play etc soon add up.

Sorry that I didn't put RRP as an option. I can't find a way to retrospectively add it to the poll. I did get a set of component leads at RRP from Game in Preston, though  Looks very nice on my Pioneer 503MXE.

Paid RRP as I had a pre-order, but I spent a fair bit on games accessories, so spent just under £450 + £33  for an official component cable, almost as much as my 360 bundle lol.

£179.99 RRP from Amazon, so no vote from me on the poll.

Wouldnt go near ebay no matter how desperate I might have been.

No - I purchased everything at RRP. I thought this thread was asking for total spend. The £550 included - the console, 3 extra remotes, 3 extra nunchuks, component cable and several games.

Gave Currys £20 pre-order deposit & got refund today.

Gave Toys R Us £ 364.98 (Zelda bundle + extra remote with delivery) - just got a £ 334.99 refund & compensation to follow for losing the bundle & a late delivery on the remote.

Gave a bloke who works for Comet £ 194.98 for a console & extra nunchuk a few days before Xmas.

I have all I need for now for the RRP of £ 224.97

Although it was hard work & not to be repeated, ever!

I'm guessing you're one of those people who still got it delivered even though you cancelled the order? You won't be smiling when you get a phone call to say either pay or return it ;)
