8 for Tomb Raider I think

Single R1, Single R2 UK, Twin Pack R2 UK, Single R2 Jpn, Twin Pack R2 Jpn, German 3 Disk , German 6 disk which contains regular and HD version

Sad but true. German had a DTS track (In German I found out after purchasing!) Otherwise I'd only have got the 6 disker........ho hum. Others (duplicates bar Japanese) were gifts as everyone knows I like Angie but no-one ever thinks to ask me if I already HAVE the movie. Yeah I could take them back etc. but can't be bothered so just add them to the collection.

I have a couple of doubles - Donnie Darko Us and German (dts) for example.

My biggest mutliple will be the original starwars trilogy - laserdisc theatrical release, laserdisc spec ed and then the dvd boxset

Haven't got multiple versions of any film on DVD, as I normally sell any duplicates, but I do have many different copies of the Star Trek movies on old VHS. Comes from buying the complete movie boxsets everytime a new movie comes out. Haven't done it lately though.

We have two R1 Fight Clubs as one of them was a prize and is signed by Pitt, Norton and Bonham-Carter so is worth keeping mint.

Otherwise only if you count Apocalypse Now and Apocalypse Now Redux as the same film

I sold my player just as DVD started to become norm but while LDs were still good. I got £500 for my definitive box set and maybe £300 for the spec. ed.

Last year I bought a better player, and both sets for less than £100 :)

forgetting VHS copies I have only purchased two versions of the same film which were mostly upgraded for DTS sound, some for different cuts like the directors cut, extended cut or just uncut. I have around 20 duplicates and barring one or two I haven't sold them on since they are worth next to nothing anyway, so I hang onto them as back-up copies.

A few movies that I have duplicates of include...

Top Gun, Terminator, Alien, Aliens, Alien Resurrection, Black Hawk Down, Natural born Killers, Hollow Man

I nearly always sell duplicates if I upgrade because I don't have the shelfspace and I think it's a weird anal waste of time keeping inferior old editions for the sake of it. I can't afford it either.

That said, I've got 2 Tenebres, 2 Suspirias, 2 Dunes, 2 Dead Ringers , 2 Armies of Darkness and 2 The Flys. Thassit, though. I sell doubles or pass them along to relatives.

Only T2 (Extreme and Ultimate eds), "A Better Tomorrow" (Due to being in 2 boxsets I own) and The Grudge (one is a R1 and has English subs when ppl speak Japanese, the other is a Scandinavian DTS release where you guess what the japanese speaking ppl say ;))

Although I have purchased a number of doubles, like others I either pass them on to my brother or trade them here.

2 A Chinese Ghost Story (UK disc and HK box)
2 Eastern Condors (Standard and Anamorphic DD5.1)
2 Full Contact (Standard and Anamorphic (with no english subs  )
2 The Killer (UK disc and Korean disc)
2 MIB (Limited edition and Superbit)
    2 T2 (Ultimate and Extreme HD - WMV9)
    2 The Lost Boys
    3 Underworld (Standard, Extended and Hi-def - WMV9)
5 Dawn of the Dead (Collectors, Divimax & Ultimate box (3 versions in one box))
2 Day of the Dead (Standard and Divimax)
2 Zombie Flesh Eaters (Full screen Zombie and anamorphic Zombi 2)

And guess who'll add a blu-ray/HD-DVD of each to that list in the next year? :rotfl:

Maybe I should clear some out. :D

Any fluent Cantonese/Mandarin speakers after a copy of Full Contact? :rotfl: :rotfl:

Although, you'll have to go some to beat my mate's 13 (Yes, thirteen) copies of Manhunter. Look

^ That 13 copies of Manhunter is crazy... most of them are utter balls (I've owned 4 versions, the BMG being the absolute worst).

I'm happy with the MGM French R2 and the Momentum UK R2 2-disc. Although the AB R1 Divimax is better for the "DC".
