As above one per multiroom sub with I believe a maximum of 8 boxes on one private account - above that number are usually treated as commercial accounts.

Ah ****. That sucks. I wonder why that is? I can understand if it was say 4 Sky+ boxes with 2 dish feeds each on an octo lnb, but to limit it to just one box is a bit mean no? What if i buy my own sky+boxes. Are the multiroom cards still limited to one sky+ card per household?

    No, I have three.

Logi has answered your original question correctly (of course), but is that what you actually mean?

Sorry for the confusion. I've installed my own dish, wires, everything. If i buy 3 sky+ boxes off ebay, can i use the pvr functionality of them all at the same time on my multiroom sub? I think in my op, it seems as if i'm asking "how many brand new sky+boxes will sky give me on a multiroom sub. That isn't what i'm asking.

If you want to use three Sky+ boxes simultaneously, then you need a Sky TV subscription plus two multiroom subs. One multiroom sub won't let you use two extra boxes - because you'll only get one extra card with one multiroom sub. Get two multiroom subs and you'll get two extra cards - one for each of the extra boxes.

Yes i've already got 3 cards. (Main card +2) I just didn't want to waste my money on buying Sky+ boxes if they don't do recording because of limitations on the account. Thanks for clearing that up.

So the question is actually about receivers versus recorders?:clap:
There are no "limitations on the account".

Is was about recorders yes hence the reason i said Sky+ for the pvr functionality. As long as i can use the recording feature of sky+ on all channels on all 3 boxes at the same time, then i'll be happy.

    Thanks for the help boys

When you're giving Sky two lots of multiroom subscriptions it would be very rough if you could NOT fully use recorders when you have them!
Good that we got you there - you're welcome.
