Not the Euro pallets, the bigger, square ones please.

Apparently you can squeeze 21 of these into a container!Inside dims of a 40' container = 1202 x 235 x 239 cms
If the pallets are 120 x 120 cms, you can't get them side by side.
So you're only going to get 10 pallets in.
If the pallets were 120 x 100 cms, you would get two rows of ten = 20.
Try it in practice, we load these on a daily basis.
I can imagine swapping "sides" to lift and drop could be a PITA to pack like DHL's layout!Try it in practice, we load these on a daily basis.
A 40' and a 20' away today.
Exactly.I can imagine swapping "sides" to lift and drop could be a PITA to pack like DHL's layout!

Loading them in landscape down one side and portrait down the other side can be a right pain. What am I missing when I make it 22?
Left-hand side: all landscape, like 1. 1204 / 100 = 12
Right-hand side: all portrait, like 2. 1204 / 120 = 10.
Total 22.
epal-pallets.org say 22 too:What am I missing when I make it 22?

with the aded bponus of being able to pop a few kids in the gaps between - 1-4, and 18-21...Looks like you can just about squeeze an illegal immigrant behind 20 and 21 too, that's handy![]()
Leaving just 4mm on a 40' container is a bit tight, not least of which some pallets will never get filled exactly to be within the footprint of the pallet itself. Rather plan for some contingency I think! What am I missing when I make it 22?

I also want to come and watch when they try to close the doors.Leaving just 4mm on a 40' container is a bit tight, not least of which some pallets will never get filled exactly to be within the footprint of the pallet itself. Rather plan for some contingency I think!
If the forklift is going fast enough when it hits the door it always closed shut for usI also want to come and watch when they try to close the doors.![]()
Right enough, some of the bleeding awful containers we get need a forklift to get the doors shut.If the forklift is going fast enough when it hits the door it always closed shut for us![]()
